New injectable medications are being developed constantly, fueling a massive $750B market, but there has been little innovation in delivery. It's time to reimagine injections. Pirouette’s un-intimidating auto-injector platform aims to improve the patient experience through affordable, stress-free, and intuitive simplicity. Injections as easy as pushing a button. We are currently focused on naloxone for opioid overdose reversal and epinephrine for treatment of severe allergic reactions.

We’re a start-up looking for an accountant to join our team to support the finance activities involved in the development and production of our auto-injector.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled individual to manage all financial & accounting activity. They will serve as a key contributor in shaping the long-term financial future of the company. Interest working in start-up companies is a plus. This position reports directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing financial statements annually, quarterly, monthly, or as necessary for specific purposes (i.e., audit requests, insurance, etc.).
• Ownership and maintenance of the operating budget and other financial planning documents.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Managing and maintaining financial data through QuickBooks.
• Working cross-functionally with other departments to provide updates regarding financial planning.
• Other duties as assigned, according to the changing needs of the business.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher education in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience, background in a Healthcare, Medical Devices, Life Sciences industry is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar software.
• Proficiency in Google Suite.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications, particularly in Excel.
• Payroll administration experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and Accounts Payable / Receivable reporting.
• Experience with government grants and / or awards.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Communicates ideas, information, and recommendations clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written) across non-clinical and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• CPA or similar accounting certification.
• Experience with financial planning and analysis or is open to learning.
• Knowledge of medical products pricing and reimbursement.

Compensation:

• Salary: $72k
