About the role

PostHog is an open source, product analytics platform. PostHog enables software teams to understand user behaviour – auto-capturing events, performing product analytics and dash-boarding, enabling video replays, and rolling out new features behind feature flags, all based on their single open source platform. The product’s open source approach enables companies to self-host, removing the need to send data externally.

Founded in 2020 by James Hawkins and Tim Glaser, PostHog was a member of Y Combinator’s Winter 2020 batch, and has subsequent raised $12m in funding from GV, Y Combinator and notable angel investors including Jason Warner (CTO, GitHub), Solomon Hykes (Founder, Docker) and David Cramer (Founder, Sentry).

The role

There are a ton of ex-founders who love working at PostHog, because they get to work autonomously and own a large set of problems. We're still super early and we each team is its own little startup, which means defining a problem, talking to users, building a solution and iterating on that.

As a former founder you might come from a background in Engineering, Product, Design or Marketing (or all of them!). We'll always have a place for smart, motivated people and the founder will work with you to define your own role at PostHog.

We are currently a team of 20 - ranging from former founders and CTOs, to college whiz kids, with experience scaling businesses to millions in revenue and thousands of employees.

If you are a former founder and you are looking for an opportunity to work with a world-class team, please reach out below.

Why you should join PostHog

PostHog is open source product analytics, built for developers. Automate the collection of every event on your website or app, with no need to send data to 3rd parties. It's a 1 click to deploy on your own infrastructure, with full API/SQL access to the underlying data.

We're growing rapidly, and always looking for people who can get things done.
