We are a fast-growing Bay Area-based startup backed by leading investors like Accel , Y-Combinator & Menlo Ventures. In the past year we grew revenue nearly 10x and continue to build torridly.

Our core product offering helps automate lending operations for financial services firms across the lending value chain. The Prodigal team has deep technical talent today and we believe there is an opportunity to build an iconic vertical software business that will fundamentally impact how the multi-trillion-dollar debt industry is managed. Debt has such a massive impact on consumers and prior to Prodigal, the industry was saddled with painful, low value manual workflows, and poor customer experience. Our mission is to humanize the debt repayment process through automation and data.

What will you be doing?

• Contact potential clients via phone and emails

• Qualify leads from marketing campaigns tactfully

• Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives

• Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

• Represent our team at trade-shows and conference

• Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

What we are looking for?

• We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to work closely with our Marketing and Sales teams. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers. The product that has already proven its place in the market. Our clients love that our products make their lives easier and appreciate the difference we make.

• Success in this role will see the ideal candidate rise to more senior roles and even build their own team.

• Hard-hitting but sincere. Our customers buy into our long term vision; being sincere is a prerequisite to cultivating change.

• Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role

• Experience with CRM software (Salesforce is a bonus)

• Clear communication; to customers as well as internal stakeholders

• Methodical approach to solving problems; Attention to detail

• Experience working for or selling to lenders is a plus.
