Image Processing Engineer

Come build the software that will enable the next wave of innovations in Medical Imaging AI. We are building advanced interactive tools to enable Radiologists and machine learning engineers to annotate 3D medical images and rapidly train AI models.

This position is to utilize and create image processing algorithms and smart tools to assist with the segmentation of 3D medical images in our web app. This is largely done using C++ that is compiled to Web Assembly and integrated with our Javascript web app.

You're a good fit if you:

• Have developed in C++ and Javascript professionally
• Are familiar with image processing algorithms, especially related to medical imaging
• Write efficient, readable, and well tested code
• Want to deploy a new feature and receive feedback from users the same day
• Want to work extremely independently and experimentally delivering new features and updates to old features on a weekly or even daily basis.
• Want to push the limits of what is possible with medical images and browser based applications.

This position is fully remote and available globally. Salary range is regional.

1. Super simple coding problem as a Turing test. This will be in javascript. Think fizz-buzz or equivalent problem that will take you about 10 minutes.
2. 30 minute chat on the phone about your background, interests, and fit.
3. 1 hour on the call technical session where you implement a 3D rasterization algorithm in C++. Realistically speaking this will be fairly open ended, since no one on the team is very familiar with C++, which is why this position is looking to add that skillset to the team.
4. 1 hour user experience design of the interaction of a smart tool. We will use wireframing, spec writing, and back and forth discussion to design how a variety of tools should and could work for end users.
5. 1 hour culture, fit, and background assessment. We want to see if you truly want to work at a startup and be with us for the long term.
6. Reference check of 3+ former employers and managers.
7. At our discretion, we may do a 1-5 day paid trial project of limited scope.
