Carbon capture for semi-trucks
Remora is hiring a Thermal Systems Lead who will develop the thermal management system of the Remora mobile carbon capture device from concept through production. The Thermal Systems Lead will be aid in the development of the device thermal architectures through architecture analysis, requirement generation, component development, component sourcing, and systems testing, all while helping to tackle the defining challenge of our time. Responsibilities:
Develop design concepts through 1D simulation and other techniques, and identify potential architectures and appropriately sized components of thermal management system Develop thermal component and thermal subsystem requirements Identify thermal components and suppliers that meet design requirements, procurement timing, and cost constraints Design or direct thermal system packaging via 3D CAD software Develop test cases for thermal test bench and conduct tests to evaluate component performance and thermal architecture efficiency Incorporate leading edge technology from automotive thermal system innovations and make thoughtful decisions and recommendations based on findings Lead design reviews, pre-production verification and validation, and production design release Support or direct thermal system control calibration

Our device captures at least 80% of a semi-truck’s carbon emissions directly from the tailpipe. We sell the CO2 to end-users who can store it away for a long time. We split that revenue with our customers, so the device pays for itself in just a couple years.
