About the role


Repool makes it easy to create and join hedge funds for everyone. We're modernizing an antiquated, fractured space and democratizing access to investment management for talented retail traders and traditional emerging managers alike.

Founded in 2021, Repool is a Y Combinator S21 fintech with $3.7M seed round from firms like Canaan, Matrix, and Global Founders Capital, as well as angel investors including founders from unicorns like Brex, Jeeves, Mercury, Flexport, Outschool, Pilot, and Forge, and VPs from Goldman Sachs, Barclays, and Bank of America.

The team currently has 7 employees split between NYC and SF.


We're hiring for a business development lead to work across all things customer-facing, with a particular empasis on bringing on new clients and helping them become successful post-sale. Ideally, this person comes from a finance or fintech background with experience in customer facing roles like investor relations, banking, fundraising, or client services; or in front or middle office roles such as trading, venture capital, or investment banking.

You'll own and run deals end-to-end, working directly with potential fund managers ranging from first-time retail investors to established fund managers launching new SPVs. To be successful, you'll learn complex regulatory and legal frameworks and be capable of applying them dynamically on calls based on each fund manager's unique facts and circumstances.

The role will be hybrid WFH/in-person. We believe that having an in-person presence in the early days is critical for team-building, morale, and culture.


  • Help establish and influence growth processes across both pre-sale business development and post-sale client success
  • Find ways to build demand and interest from prospective fund managers
  • Work with prospective clients to help them understand the fund services landscale and why they should work with Repool
  • Onboard new clients end-to-end, helping them launch their own fund
  • Learn and navigate sophisticated regulatory and legal frameworks associated with the investment management and fund formation space


  • At least 3 years of full-time professional experience in client facing, banking, investing, or finance roles
  • Great communication and collaboration skills
  • A desire to be a part of and help build out great culture as the team grows
  • Experience with complex legal, regulatory, or finance frameworks
  • An entrepreneurial and self-driven mindset


  • Passions outside of work!
  • Previous finance experience (tradfi or fintech)
  • Previous startup experience
  • A passion for investing, creator economies, and/or finance

Kevin was the Head of Revenue and employee #4 at Vitally, where he lead the team to a Series A from a16z.
