About the role


Repool is building the world's first platform that makes hedge funds easy to create and join for talented investors. For the first time, talented retail investors and traditional emerging managers can legally invest on behalf of others with assets under management as low as $1M, no FINRA licensing, and be fully up and running in just weeks.

Founded in 2021, Repool is a Y Combinator Summer 21 fintech that just raised a $4.1M seed round from top VCs like Canaan, Matrix, and Global Founders Capital, as well as angel investors including founders from unicorns like Brex, Jeeves, Mercury, Flexport, Outschool, Pilot, and Forge, and VPs from Goldman Sachs, Barclays, and Bank of America. Repool is based in NYC and SF.


We believe strongly that marketing is a foundational role for the success of any company, and that most companies both under-resource marketing as well as invest in it too late. We don't want to be one of those companies.

You'll work most closely with co-founder and CEO Kevin, but you'll also work closely with both founders across all business issues and get to have a voice in all decisions early at the business. You'll play a key role in creating and managing huge portions of the brand, our voice, content, and general marketing strategy. Ideally, assuming you're interested, you'll have a hand in and the opportunity to build your own team.

The role will be hybrid WFH/in-person with a lot of flexibility. We believe that having an in-person presence in the early days is critical for team-building, morale, culture, etc.


  • Help create and establish our digital marketing presence foremost, and, to the extent possible, our general brand, reputation, and content strategy
  • Collaborate closely with other teams and the founders to create and maintain thoughtful web presence and make key marketing strategies
  • Help make strategic decisions about what to build, why, and when, as well as how to approach business challenges associated with early-stage startups
  • Drive the marketing roadmap, processes, tech stack, and overall team strategy


  • At least 3 years of professional digital marketing experience
  • Experience creating and managing a holistic marketing strategy
  • Both strategic and tactical marketing abilities, and a willingness to learn what you don't know/have experience in already
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and detail-orientation
  • Thoughtfulness about brand, messaging, and content
  • A desire to be a part of and help build out great culture as the team grows
  • Experience and expertise in at least 1 marketing automation platform


  • Passions outside of work, whether that passion be Netflix and chill, or sports, travel, and...uh, not chill? Let's all have interests outside of work, and potentially help each other find cool things to do/care about/be a part of!
  • Experience with Hubspot Marketing, Salesforce Pardot, or Marketo
  • Previous startup or fintech experience
  • Previous finance experience
  • A passion for investing, creator economies, and/or finance

Currently, the team is just the two co-founders, and we are actively hiring for a number of different roles. Our goal is to get to a headcount of 8-10 and to our Series A within the next 12 months.

Justin, the CTO, was a senior engineering lead and early hire at Brex, where he helped build Brex Cash and launch a number of critical, core Brex platform features. Before Brex, he was at Buildzoom, and graduated from Duke. Kevin, the CEO, was most recently Head of Revenue at Vitally, which he helped grow from the ground to a Series A by a16z. Before Vitally, he was the sales manager at Troops, enterprise account executive at Mapbox, and USC alum; in 2018, was listed by Sales Hacker as one of the top 10 Account Executives in the world.
