About the Role

Rootly is embarking on an exciting growth phase. Our goal is to be involved in every incident management tooling evaluation whether they are looking or we spark their curiosity. You’ll play a critical role here. We’re seeking a highly skilled and strategic Head of Demand Generation to drive the creation and implementation of our demand generation function from the ground up! This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact and help shape the future of Rootly’s success.

As the Head of Demand Generation, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive demand generation strategy aimed at increasing the flow of qualified opportunities and driving revenue growth. You will be a key member of our leadership team, reporting directly to the VP of Sales, and play a crucial role in shaping the company's overall marketing strategy. Your vision, leadership, and expertise will be instrumental in establishing and scaling the demand generation function to support our ambitious growth targets.

  • Develop a data-driven demand generation strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and targets the right audiences at various stages of the buyer's journey.
  • Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to generate high-quality leads, leveraging tactics such as email marketing, content marketing, webinars, social media, SEO/SEM, and paid advertising.
  • Assess and implement the necessary marketing automation, CRM, and analytics tools to support demand generation efforts and drive marketing efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop compelling and targeted content assets that resonate with our target audience and drive engagement.
  • Work closely with the sales team to align marketing efforts with sales objectives, providing them with the necessary marketing collateral and support to accelerate the sales cycle.
  • Regularly analyze campaign performance, conversion rates, and other relevant metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Develop and manage the demand generation budget, allocating resources to high-impact initiatives and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform demand generation strategies and product positioning.
  • Establish the company as a thought leader in the industry by leveraging various content marketing and PR opportunities

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in demand generation/marketing leadership roles in the B2B SaaS industry.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling demand generation functions from scratch, driving revenue growth, and increasing the flow of qualified opportunities.
  • Experience in demand generation targeting a technical audience/buyer within: databases, infrastructure, and/or other development tooling would be a strong asset
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making, with a deep understanding of marketing analytics tools and technologies.
  • Experience in developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns that target B2B audiences.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing marketing teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, creativity, and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic start-up environment.
