Overview
As a product designer at Searchlight, you will create innovative and beautiful experiences that our customers love. You’re passionate about creating intuitive and easy to use products, talking directly with customers to inform decisions, and taking complex systems and simplifying their interfaces. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the future of the Searchlight platform, how all of our customers interact with us, and how every company in the world adopts our product to hire better.
About the product
Have you ever worked with an amazing teammate that helped your team crush goals, while being an absolute delight to work with? On the flip side, have you ever worked with someone with all the right credentials, but just wasn’t the right fit for your team and you wished that your manager had known better not to hire them?
We believe that hiring is broken, and the way to fix it is to bring the most important data into hiring decisions. We’ve built a suite of tools that helps companies like Coinbase, Zapier, and Udemy collect and connect data from pre- and post-hire to make higher quality, more efficient hiring decisions. Searchlight is passionate about solving a really hard technology problem: creating a structured, objective standard for understanding people holistically and offering these insights in an actionable way. We know that understanding a person’s culture preferences, unique strengths, and motivations to a company and job is more predictive of employee success than just assessing technical skills.

We are looking for a Product Designer we can count on to:
Lead the end-to-end design process of major features for the Searchlight platform
Define or contribute to the strategy of our product
Collaborate closely with the engineering team, product team, and customers, proposing a v0 quickly, seeking feedback, and iterating quickly
Own design across the entire company: proactively identify the highest-impact areas for design prioritization, and hire + partner with external contractors as needed.
Relevant Experience:
3+ years of relevant design experience at a product and design driven company
Experience designing and shipping products, ideally in the B2B/SaaS space
A portfolio of previous product design work
Ability to iterate with low-fidelity sketches of workflows and translate those into beautiful high-fidelity designs using Figma
Ability to operate within a pre-existing design system, contributing as needed

This role is based in San Francisco at our Jackson Square office. The hybrid team enjoys the office 3x/week with catered lunches, game nights, team dinners, and community events.
$140,000-$185,000 annual base salary with significant equity
