Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

What You’ll Do:

• Design and build software to automate the contracting and pricing workflows that underpin the US healthcare industry.
• Prototype product user experiences and interfaces, identify highest value prototype candidates, and transform prototypes into robust customer-facing products and features customers will use
• Collaboratively define the product engineering roadmap & architecture for our company, and document our processes as we grow
• Keep abreast of developments in healthcare technology
• Be a founding member of our engineering team - help us set the bar for interviewing and hiring, and build an amazing team culture

What we expect:

• At least 3 years of commercial experience in a software product development role
• Fluency in full-stack Javascript (NodeJS, VueJS) + familiarity working with Postgres and Git
• An ability to work independently, move quickly, and self-manage for high impact in a small team environment.
• Passion for increasing affordability & transparency in the US healthcare market

What we'd love to see (Bonus):

• Familiarity with NodeJS primitives (streams, emitters, async)
• Familiarity with Amazon AWS stack (EC2/ECS, RDS, S3, etc)
• Proficiency with data visualization & front-end frameworks
• Experience working with any of the following data: electronic medical records, medical claims and explanation of benefits, healthcare billing / coding / pricing
• Experience with healthcare contracting and revenue cycle management
• Prior experience in roles requiring direct interaction with customers

2. Coding interview (takehome format). This is generously context- and time-boxed to allow you to shine, not create an artificial high-pressure coding environment or trick questions.
3. Collaborative coding / code review session We'll walk through current product code and discuss how to improve it based on the outputs from interview #2.
4. Work style & culture discussion with our co-founder team. We will discuss startups, healthcare, and your familiarity with independent, ambiguous work assignments.
