WHAT WE DO

At Shef, we are building a homemade food marketplace. We believe in providing the shefs in our community (refugees, immigrants, stay-at-home parents, retirees and out-of-work restaurant chefs) the opportunity to make a meaningful income by doing what they love! We also believe that every person should have access to a wholesome, home-cooked meal at an affordable price. Building a community devoted to economic empowerment and cultural inclusivity -- that's why we started Shef. 

We are committed to reimagining home cooking regulations around the country to help put people back to work following the COVID-19 pandemic and have raised nearly $30M from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, Craft Ventures, and M13, as well as founders and executives from Instacart, TaskRabbit, StubHub, AngelList, Lyft, Airbnb, and Yelp. ROLE

Shef is hiring a Senior Technical Recruiter to help us build out our Engineering, Product, and Design teams. You’ll own recruiting for several of the Shef Engineering verticals and be a key player as we look at scaling our teams as we build a new platform connecting home cooks with local customers. At Shef you’ll be a partner and trusted advisor to engineering leadership; help build processes, grow candidate pipelines, and develop hiring forecasts for the organization. This role is more than finding and hiring engineers. It is helping us build a world class talent team, working hand in hand with your partners to help engineering, product, and design grow.  

Responsibilities

  • Help to develop recruiting, sourcing, interview, and hiring processes
  • Partner with engineering to meet hiring goals by being data driven and identifying key metrics
  • Develop sourcing strategies and programs to attract and engage talent
  • Provide a world class experience to candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Utilize data to improve recruiting efficiency, drive innovation and influence hiring decisions
  • Report and present recruiting progress to leadership 
  • Work with the sourcing team on creative and intentional sourcing programs to build talent pipelines

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years experience in recruiting 
  • 3+ years experience recruiting engineering, product or design roles 
  • 2+ years in a high growth company
  • Experience building sourcing strategies to identify and contact candidates
  • Proven track record of closing junior candidates to Staff level Engineers, Product Managers, or Designers
