About the role

SiPhox, a Khosla Ventures, and Y Combinator-backed startup, is commercializing next-generation diagnostics and label-free proteomics using Silicon Photonics, a platform technology for optics miniaturization that has revolutionized the data center industry over the last two decades. SiPhox's technology provides the power of large laboratory instruments in a handheld device that accepts disposable silicon photonic chip sensors.

Role Overview: Note, there are two openings: Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist This is an opportunity to join a high-growth startup at its first major inflection point: We have a validated, functional, first-generation platform that is ready for commercialization and scale-up, as well as next generation development. SiPhox is embarking on an ambitious effort to develop and commercialize a large menu of immunoassay targets on its multiplexed clinical-grade, validated, at-home diagnostics platform. We are looking for a Senior Research Scientist and a Research Scientist who will collaborate with our engineers, process development, and product development teams to build this expanded menu on our platform and help bring it through validation.

Responsibilities • Design and execute immunoassay experiments; generate and interpret data • Summarize relevant work into written reports and presentations • Collaborate across the organization on systems integration with reader hardware & software • Validate assays in collaboration with the regulatory team and assist when needed with the commercialization process for the developed menu of markers. • Collaborate with the process and chemistry team to ensure the development of robust and scalable processes for assay manufacturing and quality control. Note: This is a fully in-person job
