About the role

Snapdocs is a rapidly growing company backed by investors like Sequoia, Y Combinator, F-Prime and Tiger Global. We're an innovative team taking on the extensive mortgage market, bringing scalable and sophisticated software to a pillar of the US economy that still relies on fax machines and manila envelopes.

At Snapdocs, we are on a mission to enhance the real estate closing process with efficiency and transparency so that lenders can close their loans sooner and home buyers can move into their dream homes quicker. To help us accomplish this mission, we need a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to enhance test automation frameworks, tooling and test infrastructure as we scale our engineering team. If this sounds exciting, read on...

Our ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience with both manual and automation testing. We currently use tools like Cypress (automation), TestRail (test management), Postman (API testing), Datadog (logging), Kuberbetes (build+deploy) and JavaScript so an expertise with these or similar tools is a must. Experience with application security testing or pentesting would be the cherry on top. This role will give you the opportunity to be part of a growing engineering team, a chance to learn and master some newer technologies, and most of all, the opportunity to have a huge impact and not just be another cog in the machine.

As a Senior QA engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the testing and validation of our product features and fixes to ensure on-time delivery with zero rollbacks. You will bolster the QA team’s ability to build out testing infrastructure, automation frameworks and continue to move the needle towards higher quality and a devops culture. We will look to you to apply your broad expertise with cross-platform UI testing, API testing, and debugging to improve quality across our code base. You should have a passion for software testing, an inquisitive mindset with a keen attention to detail, a strong desire to learn, and enjoy debugging and identifying complex issues. Patience, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines under pressure, proactively communicate issues to stakeholders and management with the appropriate level of urgency, and the innate ability to work collaboratively are key.

Colorado applicants: This role pays $127,000-$151,000 annually plus equity in the company (pay for other locations may vary).

*U.S. Based Candidates Only*

Why you should join Snapdocs

Snapdocs powers homeownership. Using technology, we’re building the connective tissue for an entire pillar of the U.S. economy: residential real estate.

Today, we’re working to perfect mortgage closings, but that’s only the beginning. If we succeed, more than five million families per year will gain clarity and transparency as they make the biggest financial decision of their lives: buying a home. Before Snapdocs, no one felt responsible or empowered to solve the problems we face every day we come to the office.

It's complex and difficult work, and the result is not an app we brag about at tech industry parties. Instead, we're making a difference and carefully building a team that shares our priorities—pragmatism, respect and empathy for our clients, and building honest products that improve all our users’ lives.
