We're an innovative team taking on the extensive mortgage market, bringing scalable and sophisticated software to a pillar of the US economy that still relies on fax machines and manila envelopes.

At Snapdocs, we are on a mission to enhance the real estate closing process with efficiency and transparency so that lenders can close their loans sooner and home buyers can move into their dream homes quicker. As a Lead Product Designer, you will be a leader on our design team and will be working on interconnected products while thinking through complex systems and workflows. You will oversee your own product area with the possibility to manage a small team of up to two designers. You will identify and solve problems around things like fully digital closings, our e-note product, and scaling our platform to handle bringing on a large swath of new customers. You will develop working relationships with colleagues across the business, and actively look to mentor others and contribute to the wider design community. You will design software that reimagines real estate transactions with modern experiences that put people first.

Our ideal candidate has at least 5+ years of Product Design experience and preferably 1-2 years of management experience. You’ve led design on highly complex, critical projects and can face ambiguity with curiosity and calm. You have a deep understanding of multiple foundational user experience tactics and tools such as task flows, journey maps, user research skills, prototyping and high fidelity mockups. You thrive when you work alongside your product and engineering teammates to define problems to be solved—and you use input from customers, the business, and our vision of the future. You’re always thinking about the holistic product, user experience, and potential interactions between different products, features and platforms. You can use layout, typography, and visual hierarchy subtly and effectively—and use those skills to critique and mentor other designers, so we can all grow our skills and design a better product for our users.
