Front End Engineer (React)
About the role
Snapdocs is an early-stage, rapidly growing company looking for an experienced and empathetic front-end engineer. If you thrive in a fast-paced, continuous feedback environment where you will have the opportunity to shape the software from scratch, then please read on.
Backed by investors like Sequoia, SV Angel, and YC(14),we're a small team tackling the absolutely massive mortgage market with a product with a proven market fit that is already generating revenue. We are working on building a secure and efficient digital platform to automate the paper based mortgage workflow that still relies on fax machines and manila envelopes.
We rely heavily on domain expertise, product design, and data to ensure that we build reusable patterns that can work for different types of mortgage professionals.
We are looking for an engineer that has around 3 years of Front End experience working in a production environment writing well designed, testable code for single page web applications with React & Redux. Our current focus is re-building our frontend in React with Redux as we break the Rails Monolith to build a service-oriented architecture that can power internal and external customers.
Snapdocs’ culture is one that strongly values diversity and drive. We want to work with people of different backgrounds and different paths in life, and we trust our team members to make smart decisions. This means we value independent work as well as collaboration. We provide excellent benefits (including a 10 year exercise window on your options (!)) and our location in the heart of the Financial District in SF is super convenient.
Why you should join Snapdocs
Snapdocs powers homeownership. Using technology, we’re building the connective tissue for an entire pillar of the U.S. economy: residential real estate.
Today, we’re working to perfect mortgage closings, but that’s only the beginning. If we succeed, more than five million families per year will gain clarity and transparency as they make the biggest financial decision of their lives: buying a home. Before Snapdocs, no one felt responsible or empowered to solve the problems we face every day we come to the office.
It's complex and difficult work, and the result is not an app we brag about at tech industry parties. Instead, we're making a difference and carefully building a team that shares our priorities—pragmatism, respect and empathy for our clients, and building honest products that improve all our users’ lives.
