We are building APIs that brings Figma-like multiplayer & collaborative experience to any app. Imagine powering every shared experience on the web - like working together, booking trips together, learning together etc.

Today, 99% of all online tools we use are siloed and not collaborative. They are not built collaboration-first. With Snippyly, we will fix this.

Team

We are a team of ex-Googlers. We've launched products like Augmented Reality in Google Search & Maps. As an early team member, you will work directly with the founders.

Funding Status

Snippyly closed its seed round earlier in March. We are backed by Y Combinator, Spider Capital, Amino Capital, First Row Partners and many angels from Google, Stripe etc.

Skills & Experience

• Have worked ~3 years full-time as a software engineer.
• Have experience building beautiful UI components & interactions: Passionate about & have built beautiful web frontend UI components and interactions.
• Have modern web tech experience: Deep understanding of web technologies, the DOM & its modern APIs and frameworks.
• Can work autonomously & take ownership: Break down problems & figure out solutions on your own & learn something you don’t have experience in.
• Can thrive in unstructured environment: Enjoy the unstructured nature of the early stage startup.
• Are language or stack agnostic: Enjoy being a generalist and are not tied down to a specific programming language or a stack. (We currently use typescript for most things)

Some examples of projects you could work on

• Build beautiful & modular UI components that other developers feel inspired & compelled to add to their products.
• Build futuristic & novel interactions and experiences that inspire creativity & collaboration. We want to outdo the experiences that likes of Figma & Slack have enabled.
• Imagine & build novel experiences for contextual AI Co-pilots.
• Build frontend for customer facing platforms, documentation etc.

Round 1: Interview with the founder (45 mins)

In this interview, I will deep dive into how you think, solve problems & work with other people. We will go deeper into specific examples from your past work experiences.

Round 2: Interview with founding engineer (45 mins)

In this interview, one of our founding engineering team members will deep dive into your technical and problem solving skills.

Round 3: One take home project (Few hours)

We will provide you with a small project to work on. You can work on this part time at your own pace. During the project you will have access to us, you can ping us if you have any questions. You will get paid on the completion of the project.

We don’t like abstract interview questions or tasks. Such interviews are generally very stressful as you feel constantly monitored and judged. Since this will be a long term relationship, we want to simulate how real life working together would look like. This can give enough signals to both of us to evaluate if this is a relationship we want to commit to :)

Final Round: Present your project & Offer (45 mins + 45 mins)

In this round you present your project to us. Here, we are mostly interested in the approach you took to solve the problems you faced, any deep insights you learnt etc. Typically at the end of the presentation, we will make a decision or in some scenarios decide within 24 hrs and update you.

If we make an offer, we will discuss the compensation, equity and benefits at length with you during the call. Our offer conversations are longer than most other companies. That's because if you've made it this far, we're excited about working together, and we want to spend as long as it takes on anything you'd like to discuss.
