Hear from the founders

How did your company get started? (i.e., How did the founders meet? How did you come up with the idea? How did you decide to be a founder?)

A poker game led to the creation of the company when G and Sean realized they were both working on the decarbonization of chemicals but from completely different angles. They joined forces to create the worlds leading decarbonization technology platform.

What is the core problem you are solving? Why is this a big problem? What made you decide to work on it?

Chemicals production generates over 8% of all GHG emissions, either from energy use or the chemical reactions themselves. Solugen’s technology allows the world to produce these chemical ingredients from renewable sources in a carbon negative manner, on par with the cost of current incumbent products.

What is your long-term vision? If you truly succeed, what will be different about the world?

1 million mini-mill Bioforges producing all of the basic chemical building blocks the world needs, from recycled waste streams like carboard.
