Our first product is a robot for children with movement disorders such as Cerebral Palsy and it allows kids to walk, in many cases for the first time in their lives. The device is currently being used by families and the best hospitals across North America.

About the job

We are a fast-growing startup and are looking for a highly motivated HR and Talent Manager. This role will be responsible for helping Trexo grow and hire amazing and talented individuals along this journey. This will be a hybrid role involving 50-50 work from home, and in-office work.

About you

  • You are detail-oriented and methodical
  • You are willing to learn and grow into a top-level HR Manager
  • You have a knack for finding great talent in the technology sector
  • You thrive in unknown situations. You can apply logical reasoning, find solutions, and lead
  • You have 2+ year of experience working in HR roles
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and high levels of leadership skills
  • You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

What you’ll do

  • Lead all aspects of recruitment and staffing: post positions, initial screening of resumes, co-ordinate interviews, develop offer letters/contracts, conduct reference checks, apply for grants.
  • Develop and maintain long term recruiting channels such as University coop programs
  • Organize team-building and culture events.
  • Design and run employee onboarding programs.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.
  • Meet recruitment targets and report on hiring progress to the Executive team.
  • Build KPIs to track the employee onboarding and satisfaction surveys.
  • Support payroll, reimbursement, and other duties, as required.
  • Administer the benefits program. Ensure new employees are registered.
  • Participate and improve the Health and Safety Training and Committee. Ensure policies, procedures and training are compliant with current legislation. In the event of injuries, ensure documentation and paperwork are completed and forwarded to WSIB.
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive team.
  • Office Administration: Ordering supplies, organizing cleaning contracts, and office move and changes.
  • Manage and build our HR platform (Humi).

Required Skills

  • Undergraduate university degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Proven track record of managing all stages of a hiring process
  • Experience with hiring diverse tech talent

Nice to Have

  • Certified Human Resource Professional or similar
  • Experience with Airtable
