Job Title: Founding Product Manager

Location: Remote or In Person (San Francisco, CA, USA)

Company: VideoGen, Inc.

Company Overview

At VideoGen, we believe video creation should be effortless. As video becomes the dominant form of communication, our mission is to democratize video creation through AI.

Founded by Anton and David from their college dorm rooms, VideoGen has grown to over 3 million users worldwide. We’re proudly backed by Y Combinator and its CEO, Garry Tan. We’re building the future of video creation — and we’d love your help.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Product Manager who’s equal parts strategist, builder, and analyst — someone who can drive product decisions through deep user understanding, sharp product thinking, and data-backed insights.

You’ll work closely with our founding team across product, marketing, and growth to shape the roadmap, prioritize initiatives, and define what success looks like. If you love crafting great user experiences, thrive in fast-paced environments, and want to help scale a breakout AI product, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

Product Leadership

  • Own and evolve parts of the product roadmap, grounded in user feedback, product intuition, and business goals.
  • Drive features from ideation to launch — writing product specs, working with design and engineering, and shipping with speed.
  • Champion the voice of the user through research, interviews, and usage data.

Strategic Growth

  • Identify and lead product initiatives that move key metrics: activation, retention, engagement, and monetization.
  • Collaborate with growth and marketing to optimize onboarding flows, pricing experiments, and conversion funnels.
  • Spot new product opportunities through segmentation and competitive research.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Use Mixpanel, GA4, and SQL to uncover actionable insights across the user journey.
  • Design and evaluate A/B tests to inform roadmap prioritization.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure proper instrumentation and scalable analytics infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product management experience, ideally at a SaaS or prosumer software company.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS growth metrics and frameworks: retention, activation, churn, LTV:CAC, ARPU, payback periods, etc.
  • Proven ability to ship product end-to-end — from user research to wireframes to launch and iteration.
  • Comfortable working with SQL, Mixpanel, GA4, and other analytics tools to inform product decisions.
  • Experience designing, running, and interpreting A/B tests and experiments.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills — you can align stakeholders, clearly write PRDs, and bring teams together.
  • Strong product intuition — you can identify what matters most to users, and prioritize accordingly.
  • Highly autonomous and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, or growth/performance marketing concepts.

Why Join Us

  • Be the first PM at a YC-backed startup with explosive traction
  • Own core product decisions and work directly with the CEO and founders
  • Shape the future of how millions of people create video
  • Join a flexible remote culture — or collaborate in person in San Francisco
  • Huge room for growth, autonomy, and impact

If you're excited to shape product at a high-growth SaaS company and want your work to influence millions of users — we’d love to hear from you.
