Salary: 27.000 - 35.000 PLN net + VAT (B2B) Location: Remote, Europe

About the role Software Architect is the most senior technical role in the Vue Storefront with direct impact on how we design system architecture & deliver projects.

This is a great role for ones with past experience as Tech Leaders who now wants to go further with their career path and take ownership of the strategic architecture of the systems. In this role you won't directly lead the team. You will focus on designing bulletproof architecture for large-scale software systems, developed by multiple teams. You will also constantly influence way our teams deliver software by introducing improvements in the Continuous Delivery processes (e.g. test automation, release automation).

You will have possibility to design and advise in implementation of systems based on Cloud-Native/Serverless/Microservice architectures that needs to meet highest standards of High-Availability, Security and Reliability.

As the most senior technical member, you will act both as a coach for Tech Leads and Software Engineers and an advisor to the senior management (Engineering Director/CTO). You will also play key role in proposing and shaping strategic product initiatives so it will be vital for you to be up to date with emerging engineering techniques, tools and frameworks.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Close collaboration with key stakeholders (Product Director, Engineering Director, CTO) to analyse new product initiatives and propose architecture that meets both functional and non-functional requirements
• Designing scalable backend solutions based on Microservices, Serverless and Cloud-native technologies (GCP)
• Developing PoCs and Spikes to prove feasibility of proposed solutions, identifying architecture risks
• Creating API standards and designing GraphQL, REST APIs for our services
• Being thought leader and coach for the teams for software architecture, software quality and engineering practices
• Propose and implement software delivery process improvements (e.g. Continuous Delivery, Automation)
• Propose and make architecture & technical choices not following the industry hype, but being able to conduct analysis and challenge of design options.
• Research and analysis of new, emerging engineering techniques, tools and frameworks.

What do we expect you to have?

• 7+ years of experience working as backend engineer
• 5+ years of experience working in Cloud-based software projects (e.g. AWS, GCP or Azure)
• 4+ years of experience as a Node.js Tech Lead or Software Architect
• Great knowledge and experience of software architecture patterns such as Microservices, Multitenancy, DDD, CQRS, Event Sourcing
• Experience with API design (GraphQL, REST)
• Experience with different database types (SQL, NoSQL, Graph)
• Strong programming background (Typescript, Node.JS)
• Experience with assuring software quality (automated tests) and design of automated CI/CD processes
• Outstanding communication skills
• English B2/C1
