Hey everyone, I’m @Michael Baron, the founder of @Aurorin CAD, a new CAD software built from the ground up to fix 2 major problems:
No more tedious work
Aurorin can create parts in seconds that takes 20 minutes with Solidworks.
Building the CAD kernel from the ground up lets us create a much better AI interface than is possible in a traditional kernel. That is why we have decided to build a new kernel instead of using an existing one or making a plugin for existing software. This approach allows us to seamlessly combine traditional UI editing with a chat interface to design even highly complex parts at incredible speed.
Speed
It’s common for existing software to take 4 hours to open CAD assemblies.
Almost all existing CAD software (Solidworks, NX, Creo, Catia, Fusion 360, Onshape etc) use the same couple of underlying CAD kernels built in the 80s.
Aurorin uses a custom parametric and B-Rep driven CAD Kernel built to take full advantage of modern hardware.
The team
Before starting Aurorin, I worked at SpaceX on Raptor combustion simulation, Dragon guidance, navigation & control, and Starshield flight software. I also worked on GPU driver performance at Apple.
