⚙️ Engineering at Peakflo
We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer with a foundational understanding of DevOps principles and a keen interest in growing within a technologically advanced and secure environment. This role is particularly suited to recent graduates or individuals early in their career, eager to develop their skills in a thriving startup setting.
💪 What you’ll do
- Work directly with the CTO & Founder to help shape our product and culture.
- Design and build new features, simplify existing services, and scale our systems as we rapidly grow and evolve.
- Assist in managing and optimizing our cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Work collaboratively with the development team to automate deployment processes.
- Monitor system performance, addressing and troubleshooting issues proactively.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, focusing on SOC2 compliance and data protection.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring secure and efficient code deployment.
- Contribute to the management of databases and data storage solutions, adhering to security and compliance standards.
- Collaborate across teams to improve and streamline operational processes, with a focus on security and compliance.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in the DevOps and security fields.
- Partner with members of a cross-functional team and other stakeholders to contribute to setting the direction of our product: learn about our business problems, explore solutions, weigh design tradeoffs, write effective user stories, and prioritize them to deliver maximum value in a sustainable, incremental fashion.
🕵️♀️ Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar from NUS (National University of Singapore), NTU (Nanyang Technological University) or SMU (Singapore Management University).
- You are excited about building distributed fintech applications.
- You are excited about ensuring that all of our software systems scale smoothly.
- You work transparently and collaboratively within a distributed team.
- Basic knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security features.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation frameworks.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Basic understanding of network security principles and data protection strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends, particularly in security and compliance.
