BoldVoice helps the 1 billion global non native English speakers speak English with clarity and confidence, so they can advance their careers and lives.

The app gives users instant pronunciation feedback from speech AI, and then teaches them how to improve with video lessons and training exercises, developed by Hollywood accent coaches.

Today, BoldVoice is one of the top Education apps on the App Store and serves non-native speakers of 100+ different language backgrounds all over the world.

About the role

Tech stack: React Native (iOS & Android), React (CMS, Webapp), Node / Express, PostgreSQL

👩‍💻👨‍💻 Role

As a full-stack engineer at BoldVoice, you will own features end to end, working on:

• iOS and Android mobile apps that thousands of users open every day
• Remix web app that powers experiences like The Accent Oracle
• Data models and APIs on the backend
• Admin CMS which we use to manage content in the app and see what is going on

There’s so much that we want to build. If you’ve ever seen how engaging and interactive an app like Duolingo is, you’ll understand how much building we’ve got ahead of us. We want to create a similarly engaging experience for people who already know English, but now want to work on their accent and speech confidence.

😀 Who you are

• You work fast, aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty, and focus on simplicity to solve problems the right way
• You care about the small stuff, you believe that details matter, and it’s always worth it to deliver a better user experience
• No job is too small, nor any problem too big to work through
• You know a thing or two about React, React Native and Javascript best-practices

✨ Requirements

• You’ve worked before on a small team at a fast-paced company
• You have at least 3 years of experience as a full stack engineer, working on React based web, mobile or desktop apps
• We work out of our office in downtown NYC, and want our team to be in person at least 3x a week
• Up to date with latest developments in using LLM tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or similar to rapidly prototype, and ship code quickly
