Electrical Engineer

Opportunity

We are looking for an electrical engineer to help develop our electronics. This includes tasks like testing sensors, designing PCBs, writing firmware and developing algorithms for processing the data coming out of the sensors. We have built a device that equipped with a camera, laser, solar panel and a 4G modem can capture photos on the road. It not only allows drivers to pay tolls without requiring a tag on the windshield of their cars but it also detects safety hazards. You can see a 3D version of our device here.

What We Offer

• Annual salary between $110,000 and $150,000 depending on experience. -Significant package of stock options. -Top tier health insurance.
• Learn from people with more than 10 years of experience in IoT. You would be working directly with our hardware engineering lead and our CTO.

• Work with a diverse and small team (we are ten full-time employees at the moment) formed in Silicon Valley.

You are a good fit if you:

• Love prototyping and have significant experience designing and integrating electronics.
• Love getting your hands dirty (soldering, drilling, milling, etc).
• Code really well. We don’t care much which language you are the most proficient in as long as you can learn fast. We mostly use Python.
• Can come to work at our office in South Denver at least three days a week.
• Excel at solving hard problems and take full ownership of them. We expect you to figure out whatever you need to get stuff done.
• Have incredible eye for detail.

Nice to have:

• You have worked at a fast-paced startup before.
• You have significant experience with Altium.

Reasons we might NOT be a good fit:

• We are an early-stage startup so priorities and projects change often.
• Everyone on the team is extremely mission-driven, and works incredible hard to push towards our goals. Most people won't be cut out for it.
• You don't like working in chaotic environments. This is not the type of job where you show up and we tell you what to do every day.
