As our first Product Marketer, you will report to the CEO, oversee core product marketing initiatives, and help out in other areas adjacent to the role. We’re looking for someone entrepreneurial who is comfortable trying new things, failing quickly, and picking up new skills as needed. We will compensate you well, invest deeply in your development, and do everything we can to make sure this is an incredible work experience for you
You’ll become the in-house customer expert. You’ll meet our customers, deeply understand our analytics, and use other resources to define personas and customer journeys.
You’ll lead positioning work. You’ll create product positioning and messaging that highlight Copilot’s value proposition.
You'll help us tell customer stories. You'll work with our best customers and help us tell their stories via case studies, video, social and more.
You’ll execute marketing initiatives. You may execute initiatives across landing page designs, case studies and testimonials, email marketing, webinars, events, social media, and others depending on what works and what interests you.
You'll learn about startups. Aside from your core work, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in other areas - marketing, growth, ops, etc.
You're a strong generalist. You know product marketing fundamentals and have experience executing different types of marketing initiatives from scratch.
You’re scrappy. You have experience experimenting with creative marketing campaigns and enjoy being hands-on.
You're hardworking. You understand that building a category-defining company requires people that work smart and that also work hard.
At Copilot, we're building Shopify for Service Businesses. We want to make it easy for entrepreneurs anywhere to start, run, and grow service businesses: marketing agencies, bookkeeping firms, recruiting agencies, and thousands of others.
While it is straightforward to set up a Shopify store and sell a physical product on the Internet, entrepreneurs that want to sell and deliver a service on the Internet have to stitch together SaaS apps, and even then are unable to offer clients a streamlined experience under their own brand. We want to change this by giving service businesses the building blocks (messaging, payments, etc.) to design their own product and offer their clients a modern streamlined experience.
