About the role

You will be responsible for machine learning in our product. You will work closely with our Product, Design, and Engineering teams in discovery, development, and testing of new features, and you will shape our understanding of both what is possible and what is attainable.

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to be both comfortable hacking a proof of concept and have the foundation to design and manage datasets for production models. Further, you should have a keen interest in product vision and willingness to deeply understand lawyer workflows and pain points.

Your day-to-day work will be a mix of:

  • Building ML prototypes to help product team and users gain intuition about some product direction
  • Work alongside in-house lawyers to identify useful applications of LLMs to legal industry
  • Working closely with the Product team to define the vision for new DraftWise applications
  • Establish machine learning ops
  • Manage datasets, train models, and improve accuracy of models

About You

We're looking for engineers who have:

  • 2+ years of experience in a data science or hands-on machine learning engineering role
  • Practical understanding of ML principles
  • Familiarity with common ML and NLP libraries
  • Ability to write code in python and collaborate with software engineers
  • Ability to build or design applications is a nice-to-have
  • Ability to communicate with customers and prospective customers is a nice-to-have
