Job Description:

As the Head of Procurement at Eze, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic procurement initiatives to ensure a continuously growing seller network delivering diverse selection of new, used, and refurbished electronics are available on Eze’s platform. You will lead a team responsible for cataloging devices on the platform, building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring product quality and availability to meet customer demand. This role requires heavy attention to detail, consistency, and a high level of work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketplace Expansion: Proactively identify and onboard new suppliers from emerging markets and high-growth sectors, focusing on diversifying our product offerings and enhancing marketplace attractiveness.
  • Seller Engagement: Develop strategies to boost seller activity on our platform, including tailored onboarding processes, educational programs, and incentives for engagement and loyalty.
  • Inventory Optimization: Oversee the integration and management of seller inventory, utilizing analytics to streamline listings, and ensuring a wide range of products at competitive pricing is available to buyers.
  • Supplier Relations & Negotiation: Forge strong relationships with suppliers worldwide, negotiate favorable terms, and manage contracts to secure the best prices and product exclusives for the marketplace.
  • Platform Utilization: Drive suppliers to fully utilize the platform's features, including counter-bids and fulfilling open bids, through training and support.
  • Data Management & Analytics: Work with data analytics tools to make informed decisions on market trends, supplier performance, and inventory needs. Ensure accurate and up-to-date data is maintained across supplier databases and internal systems.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Liaise with marketing, sales, and product development teams to align procurement strategies with company goals, promotional campaigns, and product launches.
  • Performance Measurement: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess procurement effectiveness, supplier performance, and overall business impact. Implement regular reporting and analysis to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7+  years of relevant professional experience within an e-commerce, retail merchandising or category management role
  • Proven experience in strategic procurement, procurement, or supply chain management, ideally within the consumer electronics industry or e-commerce sector
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement processes to achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, conduct market research, and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization
  • Leadership experience, including managing teams, setting strategic direction, and driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
