Fizz is a debit card for college students that builds credit.
At fizz we are looking for talented engineers to help us build a mobile app which will be the central platform for our users to manage their fizz card. We are building cross platform with Flutter and have a Typescript/Node.js/MongoDB backend. Our day to day work consists of many interesting challenges, anti-fraud algorithms, or using a variety of APIs and Technologies (like Open-Banking and BaaS) to create a debit card that builds credit.
Design, develop, test, and scale new and existing mobile architecture
Build high-quality mobile UI experiences
Write code that has an impact and is shipped to our growing user base
Work with a variety of technologies and APIs
Experience with either our backend stack (Typescript/Node.js/MongoDB) or our frontend stack (Flutter/Dart)
Enthusiasm for product ownership, critical thinking, and proactive collaboration

Fizz is the debit card for college students that helps build credit. There are no fees, no security deposits, no interest rates, and nothing to be afraid of. We want to be the financial ally of young adults, so we're also building a network of personal finance resources to help students become financially free.
Fizz connects to a user's existing bank account so that they can't spend more than they have. We extend a daily line of credit and Autopay pays off all of the user's cleared transactions at the end of each day from their connected bank account - you can think of it like a credit card that is automatically paid off every day. At the end of the month, users' payment data is reported to the credit bureaus, helping build their score. It functions just like a debit card and is completely free to use. It's that simple.
