Jamble is fashion marketplace powered by Live Streaming & Auctions. We’re enhancing resale with a focus on community, fashion, and live interactions. While operating in the U.S. market, our team is entirely based in Paris.

Our iOS App has reached 400k+ downloads (you can download it here) and we’re gearing up to accelerate.

Role

You will work directly with Jamble’s CTO to enhance the Backend:

• Develop, deploy and maintain APIs and backend services built on Firebase and Python
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Assist in optimizing performance and scalability to handle a growing number of users and transactions
• Lead initiatives on ensuring system reliability, availability, and performance
• Drive improvements in backend infrastructure, incorporating best practices and technologies

• Databases: Firestore, Neo4J, Cloud Storage
• Infrastructure: Cloud Run, Cloud functions, Cloud Task/Scheduler
• Ops: Github, Gcloud CLI, Docker, microservice architecture
• iOS: XCode, Cocoapods, UIKIT, MVVM, Combine, MVC, GitHub

Profile

• Excellent back-end programming skills (5+ years experience)
• Excellent skills in Python, Node.JS
• Professional GCP expertise
• Experience building APIs
• Track record with successful highly-scalable backends is a plus
• Familiarity with services & technologies used in our Stack
• Experience with high traffic and distributed systems architectures
• Fluent in French, High proficiency in English

First Interview with a Co-founder: This is an initial conversation to assess cultural fit and understand the candidate's motivations. We discuss their background and career aspirations.

Second Interview with the CTO: In this phase, the focus is more on the technical skills and problem-solving abilities. The CTO will delve into the candidate's technical expertise and past experiences relevant to the role.

Technical Case: Candidates are given a technical task or case study to complete. This step is crucial for evaluating their practical skills and how they approach real-world problems.

Last Interview: The final stage is a comprehensive interview, possibly involving multiple team members. This round is aimed at assessing overall fit within the team and company, along with a deeper exploration of the candidate's skills and experiences.
