About the role

We are a fast-growing robotics start-up looking for a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for both inbound and outbound lead generation and will collaborate with our sales team to close deals.

Responsibilities

  1. Respond to inbound leads generated through marketing efforts, including website forms, live chat, and social media channels
  2. Conduct outbound calls and emails to identify new business opportunities and schedule meetings and demos with prospects
  3. Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads through ongoing prospecting and outreach efforts
  4. Work closely with the sales team to ensure timely follow-up on leads and to support the sales cycle from lead generation to close
  5. Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute targeted campaigns and messaging that align with sales development objectives
  6. Attend industry events and conferences to network with potential customers and partners
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and the competitive landscape to effectively position our solutions in the market

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  2. 2+ years of experience in sales development, business development, or a related role
  3. Experience selling technology solutions, preferably in the robotics or automation industry
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with prospects and internal stakeholders
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  6. Proficiency in using CRM tools and other sales productivity tools (e.g., HubSpot, Gong, Aircall, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
  7. Strong organizational and time management skills
  8. Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance goals

About the interview

  1. Intro call -- during this phase, you will have a one on one conversation for us to better assess your background and whether or not you will be a good fit for our company.
  2. Skill review -- for this interview, we will do a more thorough analysis of your sales abilities. Some of the questions and scenarios will be basic, while others will push you to think creatively. We want to confirm your knowledge and skills.
  3. Management team interview -- this is the final phase of our process, during which our management team will collectively interview you. Many of the questions will be geared toward assessing if you will fit in with our company culture and stage, and we will plan on asking for your early plan if we were to hire you. This is typically in the form of a 30, 60, and 90 day roadmap.
