The Role

As the first accounts receivable hire, the Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager at Moxion will establish and build out a world class accounts receivable team. This includes the preparation and publishing of policies & procedures around the accounts receivable function, making strategic hiring decisions, directing your team in customer relationship management in collaboration with the Sales Team, reporting out key metrics, and exploring & implementing tools for end to end management of all AR functions. This role will report directly to Moxion’s Assistant Controller.

What you'll do:

• Create and manage policies and procedures around Accounts Receivable
• Collaborate with key departments on developing our Quote to Cash process (including customer onboarding, invoicing and collections)
• Thoughtfully manage relationships with key customers
• Be a key contributor to accounts receivable month end reconciling and reporting requirements
• Own accounts receivable audit support
• Assist in establishing processes for accurate reporting of Sales Tax
• Assist in tracking against state nexus requirements, collaborating with team members on additional state registrations as needed
• Collaborate in the development of ERP processes for Accounts Receivable activities
• Identify and be a key contributor in the implementation of new accounting tools as needed for streamlining the Order to Cash process

Skills to be successful:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required
• 6+ years in corporate accounting, including 2+ years in customer facing roles
• Equipment rental industry experience
• Strong understanding of Order to Cash cycle
• Experience in relationship management
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and stress management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel

Nice to haves:

• Prior experience in Salesforce and Netsuite
• Experience applying revenue recognition best practices, ASC 606

Maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements.  We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience.  Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area. If you live outside that region, the range is subject to change. 

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the range provided above. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
