Head of Supply Chain & Fisheries Partnerships

We are seeking a Supply Chain and Fisheries Partnership Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in establishing and nurturing partnerships with local fishermen and producers in the Los Angeles and New England areas. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of expertise in supply chain logistics and a deep understanding of the fishing industry to enhance our operations and ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fisheries Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with local fishermen and fishery operations. Identify and onboard new partners who align with our sustainability and quality standards. Serve as the primary liaison between the company and our fishing partners, ensuring a seamless integration of our technology into their operations.

• Supply Chain Development: Design and manage all aspects of the supply chain from fish procurement to processing, including logistics, shipping, storage, and transport. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain solutions.

• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all operations comply with food safety, FDA regulations, and other relevant laws. Implement and oversee quality control measures throughout the supply chain to maintain the highest standards of fish quality and safety.

• Strategic Planning and Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic plans for supply chain optimization and expansion. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adapt strategies based on industry trends and operational feedback.

What You Will Need:

• Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably within the seafood industry or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of the fishing industry and local fisheries in the Los Angeles, the greater Southern California and New England areas.
• Familiarity with food safety standards, FDA regulations, and compliance requirements in the food industry.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, negotiate deals and manage partnerships.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to plan and execute initiatives that improve operations and support business growth.
• Ability to travel locally to meet with partners and oversee supply chain operations.
