About the role

As the first Product Marketing hire at Slope, you will be at the forefront of our GTM flywheel.  You will identify Slope’s target audience, develop crisp messaging, uncover audience insights, and increase awareness, activation and adoption of Slope’s products and capabilities. You will have an opportunity to work within a 2-sided network with both merchants and their business customers.  We will lean on you to be a thoughtful storyteller who will identify opportunities to create captivating campaigns that drive consideration and differentiation in the market.  Slope is constantly iterating and taking in customer feedback, so you will need to be proactive, resourceful, a good communicator and listener, and relentless. In this role, you will play a critical role in powering our revenue generation through shaping what we build, launch, and grow through user adoption.

💎 What you will do

  • Develop a strong understanding of the Slope product suite and value proposition to drive growth in merchant adoption and payment volume
  • Act as the voice of the customer. You will partner with Product and Sales on messaging and communications across the entire product lifecycle and user journey
  • Develop compelling product narratives, unique positioning, and messaging that resonates with our merchants and their business customers
  • Drive awareness for Slope by creating a range of marketing assets: sales enablement materials, blog posts, lifecycle campaigns, etc
  • Execute upon product launches to generate sales pipeline and grow adoption of Slope’s products
  • Partner with Customer Success and Sales to drive awareness and adoption within our business customer ecosystem
  • Effectively work with our Merchant partners in coordinating marketing campaigns
  • Learn, iterate, and innovate. Build, test and measure different outbound strategies

📈 Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in product marketing at a high growth fintech / software / tech company
  • Experience crafting compelling product positioning and messaging
  • Demonstrated ability to manage GTM motions at scale to yield predictable results
  • Experience working at the intersection of enterprise-grade merchants and their business customers preferred
  • Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a relentless drive
  • Comfortable with building process in the face of ambiguity.  We are growing fast and still learning
  • A demonstrated ability to get stuff done. In an ideal world, you’ve worked in a fast-growing company and know what we should be doing today, in one year, and in two years.
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Data-driven and analytical about measuring and iterating
