We launched just over two months ago and today we’re already live in 40+ countries. On average, our TPV (Total Payment Volume) is growing 43% week over week, and our user base is growing 27% week over week. Along the way we’ve sat down with country leaders, large companies and central bank governors – all sharing a common excitement around SpotPay and the future of global payments. Hey, we’re Zsika and Thomas.

We kept noticing the same thing through our lived experience. Modern financial tools continue to feel like a privilege reserved for the rich world. Even with the recent increase in remittance providers, most “innovation” simply stops at the sender side — while the receiver is still stuck with legacy ways of collecting, spending, and managing money.

So we’re building SpotPay to change that.

• SpotPay provides every user with a verified wallet that’s tied to their real identity. That foundation lets us issue a SpotPay Credit Card and integrate seamlessly with Apple Pay / Google Pay — even for users who don’t have a bank account in their home country.
• SpotPay also allows merchants to accept QR code payments – avoiding the high card processing fees and gaining access to instant payment settlements since all SpotPay payments are settled on the blockchain. For SMBs, instant settlement often means they can utilize revenue from their sales up to 24 hours faster than they would using traditional finance and maintain healthy cash flows as a result.

About Us:

Zsika previously worked as a tech lead and PM at Google on several products including YouTube Monetization, Ads Monetization, and Google Cloud. Zsika grew up between the Caribbean and Mexico so the solution SpotPay is building is very close to him.

Thomas was engineer #4 at Brex, where he was most recently a Principal Engineer. He has spent years building financial products and infrastructure at scale. Thomas also worked as a Software Engineer at Google.
