About This Role

Design is at the core of Vori’s founding DNA, and you will be an early leader on a growing design team, where you will lead our new point of sale product and shape the future of food retail. We are looking for creative, experienced people who can pick up a complex problem and solve it from first principles. We value systems thinkers who care just as much about how something works as how it looks, and care deeply about our impact on customers and the world.

What you'll do

• Contribute to the overall product and design direction of the whole company
• Devise simple, elegant solutions to complex real world problems
• Create flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals for your features
• Evolve our design system and craft a design language for the food supply chain
• Help with hiring and establishing a design culture within the company
• Combat food waste & food deserts by transforming how grocery stores operate

What we’re after

• Significant professional product design experience
• Excellent design craft, including visual, UI, UX, and interaction skills
• Deep curiosity and passion for solving customer problems
• Effective written and verbal communication skills that generates clarity in otherwise ambiguous situations
• Ability to think through complex system challenges that span bits and atoms
• Expressing ideas through visuals and prototyping (Vori uses Figma)

Nice To Haves

• Experience working on payments, point of sale, or supply chain-focused products
• Experience taking products 0-1, or starting your own company
