How we know this is a problem
As an exec at Invoice2go (90 employees, Series C), one of the largest pain points John encountered was that the company had outgrown QuickBooks, but the migration to NetSuite didn’t make sense due to pricing, resourcing and the required migration effort. After selling the company to and leading partnerships at Bill.com, John noticed significant innovation happening around core accounting (Brex, Zip, Rippling, etc), but accounting software itself like NetSuite hadn’t been refreshed in 20+ years.

At the same time, Fernando led back-end engineering at Trovata, which is treasury software for customers like Square and Etsy. He realized there was an opportunity to bring enterprise-grade automation to mid-size companies.

Bringing our experiences together, we know that we can make a difference in an area that hasn’t seen improvements in decades.

This was the moment when it sunk in that we’re really in Y Combinator!

Our Solution
To fix this inefficiency, we’ve launched Revenue Management as our first product. We’re migrating accounting and finance teams out of spreadsheets and into automated, AI-powered software that ingests customer contracts and computes revenue recognition and KPIs (ARR, churn, etc.) to improve accuracy, saving both time and money. Early customers are saving 90% of the time it takes to manage revenue, allowing their accounting/finance teams to focus on high-value, impactful work instead of performing manual tasks in spreadsheets. Your investor/Board updates just got a lot better, and your accounting teams just got a lot more efficient.
