TLDR

Aglide gives customers the same secure SSO, with none of the SAML cost and complexity. Admins can manage user access (conditional access, add/revoke apps, etc.), and end-users can access all their apps with their SSO credentials only.

A lot of apps can’t be managed with SAML

SSOs, like Okta, rely on SAML to manage apps. Unfortunately, SAML has a lot of problems.

• SSO Tax: Vendors often double or triple their per-head price just to enable SAML (e.g., Figma, Hubspot, Monday.com)
• Minimum Licenses: Some vendors set a minimum license count to unlock SAML (e.g., Coursera)
• Lack of Support: Smaller or older vendors often don't support SAML at all (e.g., Xero).
• Account Sharing: SAML can't be used when you need multiple users to access a single account (e.g., X/Twitter).

As a result, companies are left with apps outside of their SSO.

Having apps outside your SSO causes problems

• Security Risks: Unmanaged accounts are much more likely to be breached (phishing, no conditional access, no 2FA, reused passwords, etc.)
• Compliance Impacts: Without proper access management, companies may fail to meet key compliance standards (SOC-II, ISO27001, PCI, HIPPA, etc.).
• Disjointed End-User Experience: Users don’t know what they have or how they can access it.
• Inefficient IT Teams: Non-SSO accounts are difficult to manage and routinely get forgotten when leavers are off-boarded - resulting in access being kept.

Our team

My co-founder, Oliver Colebourne, and I met while studying at Imperial College London. There, we started our first company, Team Repair, with the aim of inspiring the next generation to pursue engineering and embrace the idea of repair and not replace.
