A knowledge company

Cerenovus is a company brain. We aggregate every kind of file a company produces — documents, PDFs, emails, Slack messages, spreadsheets, meeting notes — and convert them into a single markdown knowledge graph with native AI-agent integration. A company's information becomes uniformly readable both by humans and by the AI agents working inside the graph. On top of that foundation, Cerenovus maps the company as a system, drawing connections between the people, processes, and tools that make up real workflows. From that systems map, it infers where operations are inefficient and how to improve them. In practice, this tool will help executives make better decisions. Whenever a leader has to act on a question — how to restructure a team, whether to keep a vendor, or where handoffs between teams are breaking down — Cerenovus will give them an evidence-backed answer in minutes rather than weeks. Today, that work is done by consultants, by internal analysts, or by the executive asking around informally. Each of those approaches is slow, partial, and goes stale the moment it is delivered. Cerenovus produces the same answers faster, at a fraction of the cost, and keeps them live as the company evolves.

TL;DR: We made an AI system that reads through a company's information (communications, documents, databases - whatever they want to analyze) and finds concrete, actionable steps they can take to improve their business and make it more efficient.

The Product

Large companies are extremely complex systems. As soon as a company scales past fifty or so employees, it becomes totally impossible for an executive to know every single thing that happens at a company. This means that, since everyone at a company only understands a small slice of what's going on, it's essentially inevitable that inefficiencies arise on a global level that aren't visible at smaller scales. Before Cerenovus, this was a very difficult problem to tackle, because there was just too much information for any one person to have the whole picture. Cerenovus changes this.

Here's how Cerenovus works:

First, Cerenovus ingests the company's information. This looks differently for every company based on their priorities and existing systems, but typically this means hooking into documents, communications and databases that the company wants to analyze, and bringing all the information together in one place.

Next, Cerenovus runs an AI-powered synthesis pipeline to organize the information and map out all existing systems and workflows. Once the system has mapped out how things work at a company, it scans for a wide variety of common failure modes, and does open-ended analysis to find places where processes can be streamlined. Finally, its findings are compiled into polished, cited briefs, reviewed and validated by humans, and then shipped back to our clients.

We're looking to sell to any business interested in optimizing their business, making sense of information, and leveraging AI to the greatest extent possible. However, the people that can use our product the most are the ones that do this kind of optimization repeatedly: private equity value creation teams, exit planners, and operational consulting firms.

The Lore

We're three ex-Harvard nerds who were brainstorming in a library one night, and found that we were all (in different ways) interested in the problem of knowledge organization. Jonathan was obsessed with building out a personal "second brain" for himself in Obsidian; Ollie had worked on building agent harnesses that could self-improve by updating their internal knowledge base; and Lucas had seen how, whenever a company got acquired by the private equity firm he worked at, people within the company didn't have the full picture of how work got done. We decided to leave school and build our idea together, and the months since have been a blur of coding, conferences, and customer calls.

The Ask

We'd love to be connected to:

- Private Equity Value Creation Teams

- Exit Planners

- Operational Consultants

- Innovative middle-market businesses looking to improve their operations
