Founding Engineer

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a founding software engineer (employee #1) who takes pride in their craft to join us in San Francisco and build great software and delightful product experiences together.

Some of the things you might work on:

• Build new user-facing features with everything from database models to API endpoints and UI components
• Use LLMs to identify and extract structured data from an unstructured source (transcript) and evaluate the quality of the extracted data
• Apply learnings from customer conversations into product improvements or new features
• Come up with and/or run experiments to optimize product ease-of-use and conversion funnels
• Build and maintain reliable processing pipelines that scale with a growing customer base
• Build LLM-enabled deterministic and non-deterministic integrations and add functionality to existing ones

Who you are

You preferably have experience doing most of the above in previous roles. More importantly, we’re looking for someone who finds building exceptional software products fun and is quick to learn new technologies, frameworks, and systems.

We didn’t have experience with a lot of what’s listed here when we started Circleback last year and managed to build a best-in-class product with a team of two.
