What do we do?

We are building a checking account alternative that lets you invest your full balance, all while retaining instant access to cash through our debit card, ACH, bill pay, and more.

We're rebuilding banking on top of financial markets. This allows our customers to get significant returns based on their risk tolerance instead of losing money to inflation every year, simplifies passive investing by completely automating the buying and selling of stock, and lets them (rather than banks) choose how their money is invested.

Who are we?

We are a small, technical team of ex-Googlers with PhDs from Stanford and the University of Washington. We are passionate about building the next generation of financial accounts that put customers in control. There is no reason that financial accounts have to be so terrible, or that you need to keep cash just sitting around with essentially no returns, and we are working to fix all of this.

We are driven by results and are always looking for creative ways to get to our goals faster. We believe in flexibility in how we get results. We collaborate closely, and give straight and frequent feedback to each other. We try hard to keep intellectual honesty and challenge each other's assumptions.

We are funded by Y Combinator (S21), Pathbreaker Ventures, Liquid 2 Ventures, Global Founders Capital, Soma Capital as well as others, including a number of outstanding angels from Coinbase, Facebook and Red Hat.
