Problem
According to the CDC, more than 1 in 5 US adults live with a mental illness (over 50 million Americans), more than half of whom do not receive treatment. Furthermore, there are an estimated 350 individuals for every one mental health provider in the U.S.
Currently, patients struggle with:
- Lack of personalization and options.
- Constant discovery/search process to find the right services for them.
- High costs/lack of insurance coverage for services.
- Lack of cost-effective and continuous support in between sessions.
Therapists and mental health service providers are looking for ways to:
- Gain access to a larger clientele (for therapy and coaching).
- Drive up patient engagement and see more patients that are suited for their unique practice/specialty.
- See clients / operate in more states than those they are currently licensed in.
- Get credentialed with major payors to see a wider array of clients.

Introducing Plutis
We are creating a more modern mental health care platform. Our platform allows patients to receive personalized care and gain access to a variety of services to improve their mental health, ranging from live sessions with service providers to AI-based coaching and feedback. We also help therapists, coaches, and other mental health service providers expand their practice and see more engaged clients and patients, on their own terms.

Team
Hi 👋 We are Asim and Kamil, co-founders of Plutis.
Prior to Plutis, we founded AccessBell, a white-labeled video conferencing platform for telemedicine which was acquired by our largest customer, the Tata Group.
We were drawn to behavioral health, given our own experience (and struggle) as well as that of our close friends and communities with trying to find coaches and therapists in the past. We were further motivated after countless conversations with therapists, who communicated various challenges they faced running their practice(s) online.
