How did your company get started? (i.e., How did the founders meet? How did you come up with the idea? How did you decide to be a founder?)
Kerim and Andres met in college studying computer science. They became friends trying to track a jaguar near their city. They placed cameras across the mountains, collected more than 15,000 minutes of footage, and quickly realized there was no way to review it all manually. That was their first real problem to solve with AI.
They spent the next few years building AI systems together at their university's research lab.
qomplement started with a phone call. One of the largest oil and gas companies in the world reached out with a problem that seemed almost too simple: they had more than 30 people whose entire job was moving data between systems all day.
Kerim and Andres flew out immediately. They rented an apartment next to the client's office and spent a full month doing the work themselves. Every purchase order, every ERP update, every vendor portal, every email. They wanted to feel the problem before building anything.
That month became the foundation for qomplement.
What is the core problem you are solving? Why is this a big problem? What made you decide to work on it?
The global economy is roughly $100 trillion. Around $30 trillion of that is the physical economy, the movement of goods across retail, logistics, and supply chains. Yet this entire part of the economy still runs on legacy ERPs, spreadsheets, and large operations teams.
The problem is that these businesses scale by adding headcount. Every new PO, every invoice, every shipment confirmation requires a human to process manually. As headcount grows, human error compounds, processes slow down, and operations become a bottleneck to growth.
We discovered this firsthand. We flew out to one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world, rented an apartment next to their office, and spent a month doing the work ourselves. Every PO, every ERP update, every vendor email. 30 people whose entire job was moving data between systems all day. That month became the foundation for qomplement.
What we're building

SAP and NetSuite have dominated enterprise software for 30 years. Every company moving physical goods has built entire departments just to keep those systems running.
We're on a mission to end that. A world where no one hates their ERP. Where one person processes what used to take entire departments. Where the system does the work instead of just recording it.
