Regbase is an AI-native research platform built to help legal teams, researchers, and government vendors monitor regulatory changes across countries, languages, and hard-to-find government sources.
The problem:
Companies that need to track new laws still rely heavily on manual research. Many important updates are posted on obscure local websites, draft bill portals, consultation pages, social media, and other sources that may never get indexed by Google or picked up by LLMs.
If a law is not in English, not covered by the media, or it only applies at the local level, it can be impossible to find.
The solution:
Regbase finds these updates automatically, including draft bills, consultations, compliance requirements, and sales opportunities like grants. Then it analyzes them.
So far we have:
- Found $400M in expiring school safety grants across the U.S. for a client selling protective equipment
- Identified 80 requirements for greenhouse gas disclosure in 45 countries for a global manufacturer
- Found dozens of obscure laws in non-English languages, posted only on LinkedIn, Facebook or X
- Uncovered regulations hidden behind QR codes, and even one government website that required visitors to watch an ad!
Who we are:
Natalie Aresta-Katz, previously led a law firm practice research team at Paul, Weiss, tracking laws across dozens of countries and every state. Ethan Shea is a former Staff Engineer at Vercel with expertise building agentic infrastructure. They started the company after years of struggling with manual regulatory updates across jurisdictions and languages.
