Rex.fit (formerly BabylonAI) is an AI fitness and nutrition coach. We use computer vision and AI to create interactive gamified workouts (sign up and try at https://www.rex.fit). We also offer a nutrition chatbot that simplifies food logging through natural language processing, making it as easy as texting a friend to track your dietary intake (try it out on telegram http://t.me/rex_nutribot).

Bulgarian born and bred. Tried to be a Harvard dropout in 2018 and build a crypto startup (network for news verification). That failed, went back to school, graduated in 2020 in Computer Science. I had to leave the US in a hurry during my final semester because of Covid, and got a SWE job at AppTweak in Brussels. I learned a lot from my peers there, but wanted to start something again. I left to join Entrepreneur First, where I met my co-founder Ahmad and we started Rex.

💪 What is Rex.fit?

We gamify workouts using computer vision and AI to provide immediate feedback on your workouts. By tracking your workout intensity, calorie burn, and repetitions in real-time, we ensure you stay engaged, challenged, and hungry for more.

We also offer a nutrition chatbot that simplifies food logging through natural language processing, making it as easy as texting a friend to track your dietary intake.

🎮 How Does It Work?

  1. Head over to www.rex.fit, sign up and choose a workout. The weekly challenge or the fitness test are great places to start.

  2. Make sure your camera is on and stay around 1.5 meters (~5 feet) away from your phone or laptop - our AI will track your movements, count your reps and measure your intensity.

  3. You’ll get a final score at the end of each workout based on your performance. Head the leaderboard by beating your own score and that of your friends.

  4. Dive into our variety of gamified workouts. Whether you're into HIIT, or strength training, we have a workout for you! The weekly challenge is a great place to start!

  5. Visualize and track your progress using the profile page:

🍲 AI-Powered Nutrition Tracking!

We understand fitness isn't just about workouts, so we're also introducing a Telegram chatbot you can text to track your meals.

  • Text your daily meals to the bot, whether they’re home-cooked, take-out, or store-bought.
  • We use LLMs to break meals down into ingredients and then query our DB to estimate calories, protein, carbs, fats, and other micronutrients, giving you a comprehensive view of your diet.
  • Say goodbye to manual logging and inaccurate guesses. Let our AI take care of your nutritional tracking.
