About the role

Runway is building a first-of-its-kind platform for mobile app development teams to track, automate, and collaborate on their app releases. The platform is already used by industry-leading mobile teams to ship some of your favorite apps for food delivery, fitness, finance, and more!

About us

We’re a small but mighty team founded by ex-mobile engineers, building tools for mobile teams – and there’s a lot to do! Everyone on the team works hard, learns something new every day, and gets things done. We have a strong culture of transparency and collaboration, and you won’t be working away in a silo. You’ll be valued, respected, and your work will matter.

We’re a distributed team spread across multiple continents, with an NYC center of gravity.

About the role

This Inbound SDR hire will join our growth org, supporting our AEs and helping us drive new business while formalizing our processes around inbound lead sources. There will be plenty of opportunities for growth and collaboration across the company, and this role can have a large impact on other areas of the business: customer success, marketing, product and support.

This is an ideal role for a hungry, internally-motivated person who enjoys the opportunity to fully own an area of the sales org, who wants to have an outsized impact at an early stage startup, and who can excel in fast-paced environments with plenty of ambiguity.

About you

You are excited by the idea of stepping into a role with a limited or no existing playbook, and then helping to define and build that playbook.

You’re motivated by the opportunity to pursue opportunities and establish processes with a lot of autonomy and empowerment.

You default to action and have a sense of ownership and accountability around maintaining activity and measuring impact.

You have experience in B2B SaaS. Any specific experience selling developer tools and working with mid-market and enterprise accounts is a bonus.

You are empathetic and curious about our customer context, with an eagerness to learn about their goals, challenges and solutions.

You are comfortable with modern sales tools, you are organized and show attention to detail, and you realize the value of thorough data collection and documentation.

You are a good communicator and have a keen attention to detail.

You are hardworking and a self-starter.

What you'll do

  • Build sales pipeline by engaging with inbound prospects from various conversion points to qualify and educate them on Runway’s benefits
  • Find and test the best ways to engage with prospects to start discussions
  • Build value and share relevant insights with prospects to educate them on mobile release management
  • Research and understand the account context for mobile teams that are giving inbound signals
  • Document and build a repeatable inbound process

When you apply

Please include a description of your recent experience or a resume, and links to anything you think will speak to your experience and interests!

Additional information

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.

About Runway

Runway is building a first-of-its-kind tool for teams to track, automate, and collaborate on their mobile app releases.

Managing mobile app updates has typically been a frustrating and costly exercise of performing tasks across a range of tools (e.g., GitHub, Jira, your CI environment, the command line), herding cats on Slack to get everyone on the same page, and manually updating a 50-line release spreadsheet. And there’s often even more inefficiency than teams realize, from a steady drip of small tasks and context-switching.

The Runway team has firsthand experience with the problem. We’ve designed, developed, and released native mobile apps at companies like Rent the Runway, Kickstarter, and ClassPass, and we came to recognize that there was an opportunity to streamline and automate much of the process; to go far beyond traditional CI/CD workflows in fostering meaningful collaboration, de-risking development, and empowering teams to spend their time building great features instead of managing releases.
