About the role

Production Designer at The Essential

The Essential is seeking a part-time Production Designer (10-20 hours per week) to work alongside with our creative team on various visual projects.

Reporting directly to our CEO and Senior Designer, responsibilities include creating a variety of digital assets to use across all of our brands live platforms which includes our websites, social media, and emails.

In addition to digital assets, responsibilities also include working on print assets such as packaging labels and customer communications. We’re looking for a creative and detailed designer who can take direction to create and maintain our brand aesthetic by producing quality visuals with high impact.

Responsibilities

  • Design beautiful visual assets for our live platforms which includes our website, social media, and emails
  • Help launch new products by creating visual assets that bring it to life in a way that aligns with our brand aesthetic and customer behavior
  • Must have a robust graphic design skillset and basic illustration skills
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. (Photoshop & Illustrator especially)
  • Must be able to edit & render high quality realistic product images on Adobe Photoshop and have a great understanding of perspective, scale, lighting, and how shadows and highlights work.
  • Having studio photography skills is not required but a huge bonus
  • Can multitask and work around tight deadlines
  • Comfortable assisting on small to large scale projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable with learning new programs and editing/updating our website
  • Not required but some experience with Figma
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
