The Problem

Crop insurers worldwide spend over $5 billion every year on a single manual task: verification.

• Today, insurers cannot verify a claim without physically sending an adjuster to a field.
• This manual process is so slow and labor-intensive that it consumes nearly 10% of every premium dollar collected globally.
• As extreme weather events increase, the volume of claims is skyrocketing, making the current adjuster model completely unscalable.

The Solution

Verdex allows insurers to monitor every field on earth in real time.

• We combine high-resolution satellite imagery with local weather models to interpret field-level conditions with precision.
• Instead of waiting weeks for a field visit, insurers can verify the insured asset in seconds and settle the claim instantly. This means insurers aren’t scrambling to dispatch adjusters, and policyholders get paid on the spot.
• Last month, major regulators such as the USDA updated their guidelines to allow for satellite-based remote verification.

We are already live with one of the largest crop insurers in the US, helping them insure 100+ million acres — that’s over 11% of all farmland in the US. But insurance is more than just crops — our vision is to be the data and interpretability layer for any insurable asset you can see from space. We’re building the infrastructure to automate the verification process across insurance sectors like agriculture, property, and energy.
