About the role

About Zippi: Zippi was founded in 2019 by an enthusiastic group of entrepreneurs with the simple but ambitious goal of helping those who work for themselves to thrive. Starting a business can be challenging at any level and anyone running a small company in Brazil today faces the additional challenge of not having access to the right financial tools. Zippi offers a payment method design for micro-entrepreneurs. Our client is no longer reliant on having cash on hand and no longer faces the risk of losing control over their credit card spending. Our credit line, which is used through PIX, quickly becomes the go-to option for our clients to get their business moving. Over the course of three investment rounds, Zippi received more than $20 million in funding from world class investors including Y Combinator, Canary, Hummingbird Ventures, Soma Capital, and Tiger, as well as founders and operators of companies like Square, Gympass, GuiaBolso, Cobli, Volanty, and Biz Capital.

About the role: This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, multi-talented individual who wants to see the inside of a fast-moving startup and work closely with the leadership team. The ideal candidate is a future entrepreneur or startup leader who is willing to work hard and do a wide variety of non-glamorous tasks for a year or two in order to get their foot in the door, learn, and make connections. You will work directly with our co-founder/CEO André with the simple goal of saving him time. This means: the level of work you'll do is only limited by your capabilities. You'll get unique visibility into a unique company, a great learning experience, and the chance to move on to do many other things (at Zippi, or elsewhere—with a strong endorsement).

The main challenges for this position will be:

  • Fundraising Support: Assist in building investment memos and decks for fundraising efforts. Conduct data analysis and prepare reports to support fundraising strategies. Collaborate with relevant teams to gather necessary information and insights.
  • Leadership Rituals Support: Coordinate and manage quarterly planning meetings, monthly reviews, and all-hands-on-deck sessions. Facilitate the scheduling, logistics, and documentation for these meetings. Collaborate with executives and team members to ensure smooth execution and follow-up on action items.
  • Strategic Decision Support: Conduct studies and research on various strategic areas, including go-to-market strategies, product expansion opportunities, competitive landscape analysis, and ideal customer profiling. Collect and analyze data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to the leadership team. Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and executive summaries for strategic decision-making.
  • Project Management: Assist in managing and prioritizing key projects and initiatives. Track project progress, deadlines, and deliverables. Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Communication and Coordination: Serve as a liaison between the executive team, departments, and external stakeholders. Coordinate and facilitate weekly sync meetings, ensuring effective communication and alignment across the organization. Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and action items.

You are the ideal candidate if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in strategic consulting, venture capital or investment banking.
  • A deep desire to become an entrepreneur and/or a world-class tech operator
  • Data Analytics fluency.
  • SQL Intermediate up.
  • Experience with stakeholder management.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Advanced or Fluent English skills

What you can expect from us: High level of autonomy and responsibility. Annual education benefit that allows you to focus on your personal development. Compensation at the high range of the market. Stock Options. Health Plan 100% Zippi-funded. Monthly food voucher. Gympass. Zenklub. Hybrid working, three times per week And most importantly, a great working environment!

About Zippi

Access to credit is extremely scarce for the 40m gig economy workers in Brazil and in many other emerging economies. Volatile earnings and a work history that is difficult to access mean that these individuals cannot even apply for loans within most financial institutions and online lenders. When faced with emergencies or financial difficulties, gig workers struggle to find reliable alternatives.

Zippi solves that by building financial products tailored to gig workers. Our first product, a credit card for gig workers, is the first in Brazil to match workers' cash flows, giving customers much better control over their spending.
