AI DevOps Engineer
Hi YC! We are building Mendral, an always-on AI DevOps Engineer.
Mendral is managing CI/CD in production for 15 teams. 5 of them are paying customers, including PostHog.
Previously, we were founding engineers at Docker and later co-founded Dagger together.
The problem
Dev teams waste thousands of engineering hours chasing broken builds, flaky tests, and fragile pipelines. Most tooling is still pre-AI. It creates alerts and dashboards, but developers still do the work. Now, with coding agents accelerating code production, CI load and failure modes are only getting worse.
Teams should not need dedicated platform-engineering headcount just to keep delivery from breaking.
What Mendral does
Mendral observes → diagnoses → acts → learns across your delivery pipeline.
Today, Mendral can:

- Detect and mitigate flaky tests
- Identify slow builds/runs and propose fixes
- Help with code reviews tied to delivery reliability
Over time, Mendral becomes a self-improving delivery system for performance, quality, security, and compliance, without needing dedicated DevOps/platform headcount for smaller teams.
