How long have each of you been working on this? How much of that has been full-time? Please explain.

0 - I use weebly, box, google email and a dedicated iphone.

How long have the founders known one another and how did you meet? Have any of the founders not met in person?

I don't have a co-founder yet. I understand the importance of having a co-founder and I have been talking to a few people over the past 2 months and spending time with one of them. I have, however, not brought on someone else because I am looking for someone to be passionate and committed to the mission of this company. I will bring on someone (I am also not a programmer so I recognize the urgency and need for someone) soon and I am working hard to find the right fit.

How far along are you?

Three weeks since launch (including a short Thanksgiving week) we have two physician practices with a potential reach of 1200 patients a year. In the last two weeks our system completed 40 deliveries representing potential $4000 in sales and $1200 in gross profit. 70% of customers use the product a second time within 2 weeks and 95% of our customers elect to move all their prescriptions to our pharmacy as opposed to only the one being prescribed by our clinic partners. So far 100% of the patients at our customer clinics choose us as their preferred pharmacy. We are currently seeing a 30% week on week growth and currently have 5 clinics in the pipeline we will bring on in early January, (representing 2000 patients) as well as a Stanford clinic that will provide another 2000 patients for a total of 5k patients.

For context, a typical pharmacy serves about 3k patients - we expect to be 2x a typical pharmacy by the end of Ycombinator which will allow us to buy a pharmacy, automate dispensing by the summer of 2015.

I built the Nimble Rx infrastructure for delivering prescriptions in 1 week. The first version is entirely manual with no code.

The doctor’s office receives a dedicated iPhone for prescription deliveries with instructions taped to the back. They take a picture of the insurance information on behalf of the patient via Box, which is processed and acknowledged by email. Prescriptions are picked up at a partner pharmacy, packaged nicely with candies and a thank-you note, then hand-delivered by a uniformed employee (me) to the patient’s home. I collect the payment information in person (on Stripe) and then have the credit card on file for future purchases.

Repeat purchases skip both payment and insurance information and as soon as a prescription hits the pharmacy EMR, a prescription is dispensed and delivered.
